Case study Sluishuis Amsterdam
Time to shine for TECTURA ALFHA1
Together with the famous architects of the Bjarke Ingels Group and Barcode Architects, we gave Amsterdam a new iconic entrance to the city – The Sluishuis. The project required a uniform, shiny and reflective surface, as the façade reflects the surrounding water and looks different from each angle. TECTURA ALFHA1 was the perfect solution, even under water, as the building’s car park goes up to two floors below sea level. Even more spectacular, the Sluishuis is an energy-neutral building – and 170 tons of aluminium are one heavy factor.
