Speira Karmøy Rolling Mill specializes in converting liquid aluminium into cast metal coils, which are rolled down to a specific thickness and processed according to customer requirements. Our production on the west coast of Norway shares premises with Hydro’s Primary Metal plant Karmøy, one of Europe’s largest aluminium producers.
With tremendous synergies from this smelter next door, KRM directly receives high purity liquid aluminium. This ensures that conductors produced from our VERSA Conduct 1070 products have superb conductivity (Typ. 63.0 % IACS / 36.54 MS/m). Furthermore, our entire Karmøy plant runs on renewable energy from hydro-electric power stations nearby.
